Newcastle United is reportedly bracing for the possibility of losing their star forward, Alexander Isak, amid rising interest from top European clubs.
The 25-year-old Swedish striker has been in superb form this season, netting 19 goals in the Premier League, bringing his total to 50 goals in just 77 appearances since joining the English top flight. Isak’s impressive performances have earned him attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, and Barcelona.
Arsenal, in particular, is said to be keen on signing the talented forward, with reports indicating that they are ready to pay up to £120 million to meet Newcastle’s asking price. Although Newcastle is determined to keep hold of Isak, his future at the club could depend on whether the Magpies secure a spot in next season’s Champions League. If the team fails to qualify, Isak could be tempted to move, given the substantial offers from Europe’s elite clubs.
Newcastle’s Plans Post Alexander Isak

With this in mind, Newcastle is reportedly making plans to identify a potential replacement for Isak should he decide to leave. According to Italian publication CalcioMercato, initial discussions have taken place between the club and the representatives of Moise Kean, the Fiorentina striker who has enjoyed a strong season in Serie A. Kean could be a viable option to replace Isak, offering a blend of skill, pace, and experience to bolster the Magpies’ attacking options.
Kean, who moved from Everton to Fiorentina in 2023, has been one of the standout performers in Italy’s top league, scoring 15 goals in 26 Serie A appearances this season. At just 25 years old, he is seen as a promising addition to any top team, and Newcastle is reportedly weighing up the option of bringing him to St. James’ Park. Should Isak depart, the Magpies may turn to Kean as a possible solution to maintain their attacking prowess.
Moving Forward
The coming summer transfer window could be a defining moment for both Newcastle and Isak. With substantial interest in the Swedish forward, it remains to be seen whether he will stay in the Premier League or take on a new challenge elsewhere.
